IVF Procedure

The IVF Procedure Women entering a treatment cycle have daily blood tests to regulate the maturity of the eggs which are grown-up in the ovaries. The reason why more than one egg is produced is that women on the IVF programme are given hormones to activate the ovaries. When the blood tests shown that the women's eggs have reach a certain degree of maturity and she will have an ultrasound to find out exactly how many eggs are developing.

Complications with IVF Procedure


Low birth weight and multiple births premature delivery: Multiple gestations are mainly a very high risk pregnancies, which is more complicated by pre-maturity, anemia, low birth weight infants, pre-eclampsia, hemorrhage, postpartum, neonatal, infant mortality and so on.

Egg retrieval procedure complications:
  • Pelvic Infection
  • Some of the cases, surgery may be required to remove one or both of the ovaries, tubes or in uterus.
  • Small injury to your organs near to the ovaries such as bowel, bladder or blood vessels
  • Mild to moderate pelvic and abdominal pain.
Ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome(OHSS), is a medical problem affecting on the women ovaries. Some of the women's who take fertility treatment to stimulate egg growth. In most of the cases these are mild but rarely the condition is resolved and sometime this can lead to serious illness in health or death.

Ovarian Cancer Birth defects stress: Ovarian Cancer is most common cancer among women. Ovarian Cancer causes more deaths than other type of female reproductive cancer. The fewer children a woman has and the later in life, women gives a birth, the higher her risk of ovarian cancer.

Miscarriage Ectopic Pregnancy: Ectopic Pregnancy is similar as normal pregnancy, such as missed period, breast tenderness and nausea. Symptoms of ectopic pregnancy including Vaginal Bleeding. Cramping and more pain in the lower abdomen.
